Don’t despair saint. Remember that great salvation. Remember that face of Christ which was so sweet. That glorious righteousness which drew you in hour by hour, day by day, and year by year. Know that the Lord, He is good and His love which was shown to you endures. The light of the gospel in the face of your Savior was a sweet aroma to your weary soul. This world had taken its full and you had willingly given of your sinful self to to all the devil had to offer. You were tired and weary, broken but you found rest. You found hope. You found peace by still waters as the good Shepherd gave you life. O saint, remember this great salvation, this Christ who brought you home. Remember not the world you ran from but the Redeemer you ran to. Let not this world or the worries of it draw you back! His face was your peace. Look forward. Look up. He is better. His ways are good and pure and trustworthy. Rest again in your Savior. Fall again in the hands of your Father. He will give you joy. What a great salvation we remember, friend. What a great salvation we shall receive. What a great hope we dwell in now. What a great God.
